like last year, we gave the new year a little present. this time we decided on sparklers . . .
this new year's eve the boy and i had the most beautiful shepherd's pie and one drink each (him-a glass of red, me-an organic cider) and played table football with our two wee men. it was awesome. then when midnight came we huddled together in the front garden and let our wee crackling lights drift off into the night's magical chill as the fireworks on the hill across the way glimmered in the new year's snow.
it was beautiful and oh, so calm. i am so ready for this new year, in all its wholeness.
